Pharmacy Operations Manager

Currently seeking a Pharmacy Operations Manager just a little over an hour south of Las Vegas and an easy commute to Phoenix and Los Angeles The ideal candidate will have pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Operations Manager:
Assists Director of Pharmacy with operational aspects of the department.
Assists with scheduling and budgeting activities.
Participates in performance improvement activities and educates staff about same.
Supervise and coordinate pharmacists and technical staff in pharmaceutical services related to the preparation and dispensing of drugs and other pharmaceutical supplies.
Interprets physician prescriptions and medication orders.
Acts as a drug information resource to patients, medical staff, nursing staff and ancillary department personnel.
Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care by performing the related duties.
Requirements of the Pharmacy Operations Manager:
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
A minimum of 5 years previous acute care experience.
Previous hospital pharmacy management experience is required.
Excellent customer and communication skills required.
Arizona Board of Pharmacy licensure or eligibility for licensure and completion within 90 days required.

Our client is a Level 4 Trauma, non-profit medical center that has grown into a facility capable of providing highly technical and specialized care not normally available to residents living in a rural setting.
