HOSPITAL BASED Pharmacy Operations Manager to join their team. The client has opened a new position within the Pharmacy and the Operations Manager has transferred into that position leaving his position open.
KEY
Responsibilities: Assists Director of Pharmacy with operational aspects of the department. Assists with scheduling and budgeting activities, participates in performance improvement activities and educates staff about same. Supervise and coordinate pharmacists and technical staff in pharmaceutical services related to the preparation and dispensing of drugs and other pharmaceutical supplies. Interprets physician prescriptions and medication orders; acts as a drug information resource to patients, medical staff, nursing staff and ancillary department personnel. Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care by performing the related duties.
Responsibilities:
o Supervises, coordinates, and participates in the preparation, labeling and dispensing of drugs and other pharmaceutical supplies; ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations pertaining to the dispensing of drugs and narcotics and maintenance of all required records.
o Coordinates and gathers statistical operational data required of the department.
o Coordinates the Pharmacy's quality improvement process.
o Coordinates Pharmacy computer system operations
o Plan and schedule work for the shift group ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate manning, space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties.
o Maintain and support the hospital formulary and inventory, supervising the pharmacy buyer in reordering and stocking drugs and supplies as required.
o Train new personnel, including developing/assisting in Pharmacy Technician Competency Assessment.
o Compile charges for prescriptions filled; maintain accountability and cost records on drugs and pharmaceutical supplies prepared and dispensed.
o Maintain interface with medical staff to provide information pertaining to new pharmaceutical supplies, formulary, drug usage and compatibility and new regulations regarding drug controls.
o Compound, package and label ointments, solutions and bulk pharmaceutical supplies according to standard formulas; mix prescribed drugs with intravenous solutions as required.
o Assist in the preparation information required by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics.
o Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/LICENSURE: Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
B.S. Pharmacy degree/ Pharm D
Licensed in the State of Arizona required
Experience: Hospital Pharmacy experience of at least six years, including two years in a
tertiary care center is required. Management experience or ASHP approved residency desirable.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
