Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the facility maintains a safe work environment for all employees in compliance with OSHA standards.
Also responsible for food safety and HACCP controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for covering 1 Safety Committee meeting and 1 PSM Meeting with employees every month.
Filing of incident reports, safety topics, and flash reports (We need this from this person) Responsible for conducting annual training that includes but is not limited to:
Haz Com, fall protection, LOTO, Drugs and Alcohol policy, etc.
Maintaining OSHA 300 Log for recordables Responsible for being a daily force and presence for employees on the floor.
Creating and issuing safety write-ups for violations (We need this from this person) Responsible for making sure there is a fire watch when required.
Take injured employees to hospital or clinic if requested following a work-related injury (We need this) Track Warehouse/Inventory hours and send to Safety Director every month.
Responsible for handling the Safety aspects of orientation.
On call 24/7 (Shared between 4 other individuals) Responsible for all Safety Inspections including the following as well as others not listed:
o PPE Check, Harness/Lanyard Inspection, Evacuation Kit Check, Fire Extinguishers, Safety Audit, Fire Protection Audit, Respirator Inspection, Ammonia Monitor Checks, Rack Inspection, Quarterly, Evacuation Drills, Check LOTO Log, Check Blood Bourne Pathogen Kits, Check First-Aid Kits, Check eye wash stations weekly.
